Clinic Update for COVID-19

The safety and well-being of our patients and employees is our top priority. As you’re probably aware, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States is growing. We want to share some immediate steps we’ve taken to help keep our patients and employees safe and healthy:

-DOUBLED all our standard sanitizing and hygiene practices that were already in place

-Therapists are wearing gloves and masks

-Patients will be seen in private rooms, unless gym equipment is needed

-Spacing patient appointments so there are less people in the clinic at the same time

-Pursuing the option of Telehealth so we can continue care for our homebound patients remotely

IF YOU OR A PERSON YOU HAVE RECENTLY BEEN IN CONTACT WITH IS SICK, please DO NOT come into the clinic at this time. Instead, call us at (509) 737- 0333 to reschedule your appointment – even if it’s last minute. This is to ensure the safety of your therapist, the staff, and your fellow patients.

The American Physical Therapy Association feels that the best approach at this time is to rely on the professional judgment of physical therapists — because care decisions should be based on a specific person’s needs and a risk/benefit analysis for the individual, not simply by the setting in which the care is provided.

The COVID-19 outbreak changes the factors we must consider in our professional evaluation, but it does not change our basic responsibility to do what is best for our patients. As licensees, physical therapists are empowered and obligated to make those decisions.

We are going through this together, day by day, doing our best to make a positive impact on society in a moment in time when there are no easy solutions. I hope that this uncertain time brings us together — as a nation, as a community, as an association — by showing us how connected we are, and how much we depend on each other.


What are the symptoms?

  • Fever
  • Coughing
  • Shortness of breath

I’m only feeling a little sick. What should I do?

While it may be tempting to come in for treatment if you “just have a cough”, we ask that you reschedule your appointment if you are feeling at all sick. In the meantime (and if your strength allows) continue with your prescribed Home Exercise Program, and reach out to your therapist via phone if you have any questions.
